![]() Back in the 1930's, visitors to South Florida became enchanted with a strange, tropical fruit known as the mango. Mango lovers from all over began meeting annually as the Florida Mango Forum in Ft. Lauderdale. In 1973, the Miami Mango Forum was born and grew to be known as the Tropical Fruit and Food Festival. In 1981, the Southern Florida Tropical Growers, Inc. developed a concept that would showcase all agricultural commodities of summer production and the various uses for the products. As a result, the Tropical Agricultural Fiesta became a reality. Our mission: To improve the quality of life in southern Florida through education about tropical fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants and natural resources. Enjoy a Taste of the Tropics!
